The Dominion Derby Girls are recruiting! We are happy to announce the league is taking a much needed break from bouting to focus on training new recruits. That means YOU!!! We are looking for derby girls, referees, and volunteers. Please see our join page for more information about how you can do your duty, and join the DDG.

Do you need good karma? Then join Team Zebra! Must be at least 19 and have health insurance. Open to men or women. Put in a lot of work for only a fraction of the glory, but hey...we'll respect you in the morning. email: referees@dominionderbygirls.net

You KNOW you wanna...Well, here is your CHANCE!!!

We have now opened up recruiting! If you are interested in joining us, you are welcome to come out . We're looking for women at least 19 years old, who have primary health coverage. Basic skating knowledge is not required but it is a plus! We can teach you everything you need to know, but if it's been a while, we recommend you get out and skate as much as you can. Haygood Skating Center has open skate 4 times a week. The more you skate, the better you get.

Roller derby is a sport and it is a lot of hard work, but it can be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life!

REQUIREMENTS

For insurance purposes, you will be required to sign a waiver as well as bring a copy of your identification and health insurance card.

In order to participate in tryouts, you are required to wear the following quality protective gear: (Pro-tec, Rector Fat Boy or 187 pads are HIGHLY recommended)

-Knee pads
-Elbow pads
-Wristguards
-Helmet
-Mouthguard

Rental skates WILL NOT be available at the rink for Tryouts. Please email us at freshmeat@dominionderbygirls.net BEFORE you order your skates. Gear can be purchased at most local skateboard shops or Dick's Sporting Goods. If you are interested in purchasing skates, we recommend Sin City Skates, cause hey, it's run by skaters! (And they sponsor us...shhhhh!)
